Dubai Future Academy Launches New Foresight Programs to Shape the Future

The Dubai Future Academy (DFAc) an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has unveiled ten unique foresight courses and training programs intended for the mid to senior management government employee. This CO-DI project is planned to continue by the year’s end and will educate more than 500 participants on strategic foresight and future-making tools.

Key Courses and Themes

The DFAc’s programs cover a wide range of critical themes including:

1. Strategic Foresight – Leading in an uncertain and fast-changing world.
2. Scenario Content Development – Methods to anticipate future scenarios.
3. Transformative Futures – Adapting to and driving transformational change.
4. Design Thinking – Innovative problem-solving techniques.
5. Futures Literacy – Understanding and utilizing future trends.
6. Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Exploring AI’s impact on future technologies.
7. Circular Economy and Sustainability – Identifying opportunities in sustainable practices.
8. Innovation Foresight – Predicting and fostering innovation.
9. Emerging Technologies – Staying ahead with the latest technological advancements.
10. Disruptive Futures – Preparing for and leveraging disruptive changes.

These courses are offered by colleges’ highly qualified internal and external instructors which improve participants’ forecasting skills and expertise. For example, the course on circular economy was facilitated by Prof Martin Calnan from the Ecole des Ponts Business School in Paris based on sustainable development and growth.

All the initiatives of the DFAc are aimed at the process of putting Dubai at the center of global innovation knowledge platform.
