UAE Experiences Heavy Rain and Hail Weather Updates for the Coming Days

At the moment, the UAE is going through heavy rain and hail while in summer this is not expected to happen due to the harsh dryness of the climate. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has posted warnings for different areas of the country, saying that these conditions will remain for the week.

Affected Areas and Weather Conditions

Furthermore, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain have received rainfall in advance and therefore flood risks has started manifesting itself. Meteorological Insights

The current weather is characterized by Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), this has moved northwards therefore bringing low pressure in Oman and eastern part of UAE. This shift comes with convective clouds that can result in heavy down pour and stormy weathers. It has also predicted that these conditions will result in decrease in temperatures by about 2-3°C; the internal parts of the country experiencing temperatures of about 43-47°C while the coastal areas experiencing temperatures of about 30-42°C.

Safety and Precautions

This is after the NCM raised the yellow and orange alerts, which explained to the residents of the affected areas not to go near areas of water logging and make sure they remain indoors when it is raining. The NCM also shows that sometime there is a forecast of strong winds, lightning and thunder that poses a threat to normal activities such as travelling.

Unpredictable weather patterns that contribute to occurrence of occasional showers is projected to continue up to at least 8th of August 2024 with isolated showers likely to be felt throughout the remaining part of August. The central authorities are paying attention to the changing weather conditions and have standing response measures to any calamities that may arise due to the weather.
